Afloat Swim School Terms and Conditions
By enrolling your child in Afloat Swim School, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read these terms carefully before enrolling your child in our programs. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not enrol your child in our swim school.
Registration Fees: For new H2O Survival Students a one off, non-refundable registration fee of $100 per child is required in advance before lessons commence. This fee is not deductible from lesson fees.
Lesson Fees: H2O Survival lesson fees are due in advance every Monday to cover the upcoming week’s lessons. Late payment for more than 10 lessons will result in a follow-up request, incurring a $20 administration fee. If full payment is not made within 5 working days, the child will be removed from their booking. Available payment options will be noted on the account reminder.
Medical Illness or Injury: if you are enrolled in the H20 Survival course and you are ill then we will not charge you for missed lessons. In terms of injury, it will be assessed on a case by case basis. For prolonged injuries e.g. broken bones where you need to postpone the course the please contact us to discuss the plan going forward.
Payment Plans: Payment plans are only available in cases of proven financial hardship.
Payment Options: Payments can be made via cash, direct deposit, Via the Udio portal, please note that a credit card processing fee may apply.
Outstanding Accounts: Accounts overdue by more than 90 days without an agreed payment plan or communication will be forwarded to a third-party debt collection agency, with an additional 40% collection fee added to the balance owed.
Missed Class Policy
Each child is allowed to miss two lessons without charge. Payment will be required for any additional missed lessons.
Registration Fees: For new Aquatic Strokes Development and Adults Students a one off, non-refundable registration fee of $50 per Student this is required in advance before lessons commence. This fee is not deductible from lesson fees.
Mid-Term Enrolments: Mid-term enrolments are welcome, subject to availability. Pro-rata fees will be charged based on the number of weeks remaining in the term.
Assessments for Young Students: Students under 6 years of age must complete the H2O Survival program or undergo an assessment prior to enrolling in any of our Aquatic Stroke Development courses.
Enrolment Confirmation: Enrolment is confirmed once full payment of term fees is received prior to term commencing. Children will not be allowed to participate in lessons until full payment is received, unless prior arrangements have been made.
Term Rollover: At the end of each term, enrolments will automatically roll over to the following term. Your child’s enrolment is confirmed when full payment is received prior to the start of the new term. If payment is not received, the booking will be forfeited

Mid-term new enrolments are welcomed, subject to availability, and will be charged pro-rata fees based on the number of weeks remaining in the term.

Overdue Payments: Any invoice more than 2 weeks overdue will incur a $20.00 administration charge per month until paid in full.
Public Holidays: Lessons are not scheduled on Public Holidays and are not included in term fees.
Missed Lessons: There is no refund or credit for missed lessons. Instead, we offer 2 make-up lessons per student per term.
Qualifying for Make-Up Lessons: To qualify for a make-up lesson, log into our parent portal in Udio and mark your child as absent at least 2 hours before the lesson time (exemptions may be made for early morning classes before 9am).
Make-Up Lesson Booking: Make-ups can be booked up to 5 days in advance and do not have to be booked at the same time as submitting an absence. Make-ups must be taken within the same term and cannot be carried forward.
Restrictions: Make-up lessons cannot be guaranteed and options may be limited during busy periods. Make-ups cannot be transferred to a sibling, and there is no guarantee that the instructor will be the same.
Mid-Term Cancellations: Refunds cannot be given for unused fees due to mid-term cancellations. Exceptional circumstances will be considered, but not guaranteed. If a refund is given, a $40 administration fee will be charged.
Registration Fees: No refunds are given on registration fees.
Change of Mind or Holiday Lessons: No refunds are provided for mid-term cancellations on unused fees due to change of mind or for school holiday lessons.
Exceptional Circumstances: Refunds or credits may be granted in cases of injury or illness, where 5 or more consecutive classes will be missed. A medical certificate must be supplied before the credit can be arranged. Once a credit is issued, the child will lose their class place and must re-enrol when ready to return.
Resolution Process: If a customer is dissatisfied with the Aquatic Development Program, where payment is made in advance, we will work to understand the issue and attempt to find a resolution that suits both parties. This may include offering a change of instructor, day, or time. If a mutually agreeable resolution cannot be reached, a refund will be issued.
Privacy Policy: Please refer to our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
Confidentiality: We are committed to protecting the confidentiality of our students’ personal information. Any information provided will be used solely for the purpose of providing our swim school services.
Waiver of Liability: By enrolling your child in Afloat Swim School, you acknowledge that swimming involves inherent risks. Afloat Swim School is not responsible for any injuries or accidents that occur during lessons, except where such injury or accident is due to our negligence.
Medical Conditions: It is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to inform Afloat Swim School of any medical conditions or special needs that may affect the child’s participation in lessons.
